We are looking forward to your visit!

Our lovingly restored, former farm is located in a quiet location in the Zaschendorf district of Meißen. Only 25 km from the cultural metropolis of Dresden. In every season you can experience pure nature with us. Use our large cottage garden to relax in the green - in summer by the pool or in winter in the garden sauna. In no time you have forgotten your everyday worries and switch to relaxation. We warmly welcome singles, couples, families and business travelers at all times.

The little ones have their own playground, a sandpit and our animals look forward to being petted!

Sincerely, Eckhard and Christine Gräfe

The story of our 3-sided farm!

When you spend your vacation with us, you are a guest on a former farm, which is now in the 5th generation family-run. We are very happy about the positive feedback, which has contributed significantly to expanding our farm for holiday guests. It is a great pleasure for us to welcome people who, like us, appreciate nature and tranquility and who find relaxation in activities in the "green".

In 1855 the three-sided courtyard in Zaschendorf was built by the Haase family. Our great-great-grandparents bought the farm around 1900 and soon passed it on to their children, Hulda & Franz, our great-grandparents.

In 1936 our grandparents, Frieda and Herbert Donath, took over the farm and ran it. To the delight of the young family, 3 girls were born. Unfortunately, World War II put an end to family happiness. The grandfather came back injured and died a short time later of a brain tumor. Frieda had to run the farm alone and was also responsible for bringing up the children. Another stroke of fate followed in 1949. A lightning strike burned the entire barn down. As the harvest was imminent, the building had to be rebuilt at short notice.

The marriage of the eldest daughter Christa with the farmer's son Erhard Graefe on June 1st, 1957 gave the opportunity to give up responsibility. The farm was handed over to the children and until 1960 was privately managed by Christa and Erhard, our parents. When the GDR was founded, land reforms took place and private farmers were expropriated. In 1965 the same happened to our parents. The Agricultural Production Cooperatives (LPG) were founded. The parents were members of the cooperative and had to bring in their farmland and animals. In their private lives they could later keep a small herd of animals and cultivate smaller areas.

Our father Erhard worked in milk production until the turn of 1990. Our mother Christa, as a housewife, took care of the 4 children as well as the large garden and the farm animals. In 1990, with the loss of the cooperative, the land was returned to private ownership. From 1991 to 1996 our parents were self-employed in fruit growing. Then you retired. The agricultural activity on the farm was given up because all 4 children had oriented themselves professionally.

In order to preserve the family property, the property was taken over by us, Eckhard and Christine Gräfe, in 2008. We have lived together since 1980 in the right house on the property and had already carried out the modernization work there. In 2008/2009 the main house was modernized and in 2011/12 the barn was renovated. In our free time we like to pursue our hobby, garden design, but also running a kitchen garden with chickens.

In 2014 we had the idea to offer our guests our beautiful courtyard to relax. So we set up our first holiday apartment, the “Bauernstube”. The positive feedback and lively bookings are a great motivation for us to continue working on the expansion of the holiday farm.

This is how our outdoor pool was created in 2015, the outdoor sauna in 2017 and the 2nd holiday apartment "Landliebe". At the end of 2019 the 3rd and 4th holiday apartments followed: "Spring meadow" and "Kräuterstübchen", which were also very well received by our guests. The expansion of a fifth holiday apartment is planned for 2021.

The 6th generation also takes great pleasure in our project. We already get a lot of support from our eldest son Alexander and his wife Anja, who furnished the apartments with great attention to detail. She is also happy to take on the reception and care of our guests when we are absent.

The 7th generation with our grandchildren Arthur and Adrian is already there and motivates us to expand the playground and buy various toys. Our second son Benjamin uses his parents' home like our guests - for relaxation! Perhaps you have any further questions or suggestions? Talk to us, we are happy to be there for you.
